These are some more dog portraits from my “A Dog a Day” series of sketchbook works that I have been doing for the month of October. They are all done as quick sketches in pen and ink with a fountain pen and then painted with watercolor. They are quite small, measuring 3.5”(w) X 3”(h). My pet portraits are very character driven so I really tried to find photo references of breeds with characteristics that showed their traits. Stay tuned for more in this series as there will be a total of 31 Breed portraits created.
